| Sir Anthony Dowell attended the Hampshire School where his
partner in the school performance was none other than our principal Jane
Scholl. Sir Anthony, as you all know, went on to have a fantastically successful
career as principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and then as Artistic Director of the Royal Ballet for 15 years. He still performs on stage most recently as one of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella where he and Wayne Sleep were sensational.Jane sent him a rather unusual bouquet which caused a lot of amusement when it was presented on stage! |

You can imagine our surprise when we attended a performance
of the Kirov Ballet at Covent Garden and were looking at the photos
commemorating Sir Anthony's career in the foyer. Both these photos were on
display and Jane and Gilly gasped as they recognised themselves!
