Note that Bucklebury consists of several hamlets and villages including Bucklebury Village.
There is another hall, The Victory Room, in Bucklebury village
Do not be tempted to follow signs to Bucklebury Village
From London M4
Take J12 then A4 West towards Newbury and Theale
go over two roundabouts and continue for 7 miles until you get to Thatcham
In Thatcham Go over the First Roundabout
And over the second (signed left the Station)
At the third roundabout turn right towards Upper Bucklebury
You will have fields on your right and a housing estate on your left.
At the mini roundabout turn right up Harts Hill Road towards Upper Bucklebury
At the top of the hill you come to Upper Bucklebury
Go past the village shop and the car sales
Carry on through the village. The very last building on your right with two white posts is Upper Bucklebury Memorial Hall
From Oxford A34
Take the Exit from the A34 signed M4 and Newbury Showground
Go completely round the roundabout and go back up the A34 travelling North
Take the first exit (200 yds signed Newbury Showground
At the T junction Turn right. You will go over the A34 then pass Newbury Showground and the M4. You will come to a mini roundabout. Turn right onto the B4009
After 1/2 a mile turn left up Red Chute Hill. The road goes over a narrow bridge and up a steep hill. Then past some speed restrictions.
You pass Bucklebury Alley on your left and come to Cold Ash recreation grounds on your right. At the end of the park is a crossroads. Turn left towards Upper Bucklebury
If you start going downhill you have gone too far
You leave Cold Ash wind through some woods and come to Upper Bucklebury.
At the T junction go straight ahead.
Go past the village shop and the car sales
Carry on through the village. The very last building on your right with two white posts is Upper Bucklebury Memorial Hall
